Past life or subconscious?
Some people, whether they believe that they have
experienced past lives or not, say it feels as though they are
“making it all up” during a past life regression. My
response is, “What if you are?” Even if you are
making it up, the process can have deeply beneficial results.
The origins of problems sometimes stem from events of a past
life. Even people who don’t believe in reincarnation have
benefited from this type of work. An example serves to
illustrate: a voice student had unexplained difficulties
with her throat tightening up, despite years of voice
training. She “should” have mastered vocal technique by
then, but for some inexplicable reason she felt blocked all the
time. As we worked together, she began to describe
sensations that felt similar to a hand literally grabbing at her
throat. When she did a past life regression around this
issue, she discovered that she had been strangled to death in a
past life and was still carrying that energy around. The
mere act of understanding that event allowed her to release that
energy, and her voice improved dramatically.
